Studio Mimese is a young product design studio in Münster, Germany. The products, which are planned, developed and realised in the studio's own workshop, should adapt to the rooms and become a harmonious overall picture without visually competing with the existing. Products are primarily designed for the retail trade, gastronomy, art, culture and industry. They are designed in such a way that new products can be added without being out of place in the room. The word mimesis comes from biology and means something like camouflage, which also reflects the products of the studio and its intention: they should subtly adapt to the rooms and harmonise there. In the creation of the corporate design, the word mimesis was translated visually and can be found in the design as well as the word mark. The word mark gives the impression of a shadow cast. On analogue media and products, a haptic experience is created if possible, so that embossing is used or transparent materials are chosen.
